The press conference for AmuwoGames 2019 was held on Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Local Government Secretariat in Festac town.

Seun Ayeni, the founder of Amuwo Games, also revealed that two new games, draughts and cycling, will be added to the 2019 edition so that there is something for everyone.
The goals of AmuwoGames include encouraging youth development, sportsmanship, and community unity, which leads to community development.

Q. How would participation be drawn, teams, clubs, or individual registration?
A. Individual registration. this is ongoing online already, after which they will be grouped into 8 teams by area of residence
Q. Age group for participation?
A. 7 – 60 years, some games will be age-graded e.g. swimming, chess, race, etc. Some will not. e.g football
Q. When will it commence
A. From Nov 2 – 24, 2019, only on Saturdays and Sundays
Q. Deliverables i.e. what do we intend to achieve with the games?
A. Youth development and communal unity

A. Various, around the local govt. depending on the sport or game. Some are Golden tulip lawn tennis court, Amuwo Primary School Playground, Chillers Bar at Raji Rasaki, I-zone Game house in Festac, Purpindo Place in Crystal Estate, Crystal Estate Green Park, etc.
